- - It Feels Good To Be Home Again!! - -

Yoo guys, back with me Vina Lee to keep you update with my life hehe. I have not been updating my blog for a week. This is because I've been away from 7th June - 12 June afternoon in Jakarta. I was attending my cousin sister's wedding. Just reached home at 9 pm just now.

Okay...a little recap what I had been doing in Jakarta for the past 5 days.

Day 1 : Wednesday, 7th June 2006

My 3 cousins and I reached home around 12. It was a tiring journey. We all talked a bit with my uncle and aunty upon reaching their house, then had our shower. Hmmmm....I think I could not sleep well that night. Oh yeah...I dreamed about you again!! That was my third time dreaming of you! LOL! Can you imagine that?? Hahaha...

Day 2: Thursday, 8th June 2006

In the morning, my cousins and I went to the salon Peter F Sangerang at Taman Anggrek. Hmm many people said, Freddy is a skillful hairstylist. He suggested me to cut my hair short until my neck and he dyed my hair too with such a striking colour. LOL!! But of course, he did it upon my approval =). At first, I was hesitant, but I was up to the challenge for new, different and fresher look. I was kind of regretting my decision and missed my long, straight, black hair. But, now I kind of liking my new hairstyle. I looked different. So...I will show you guys my new photos with the new hairstyle soon ;-).

At night, I went to Kanisius Catholic Chapel. It was said that many people solemnised their weddings at this Chapel. I was there for offering rehersal. There were altogether 3 couples : 3 girls and 3 boys to bring the offering. Hmmm...I was the one who would carry the bread, passed it to the bride, and the bride would passed it to the Pastor. Hmm I don't know how to describe this one hmm..

Day 3 : Friday, 9th June 2006

It has been a tradition for us, Chinese, for the family members or friends to bring the bride's stuffs to the groom's house. Then, we would be served with lunch. Hehehe..the grilled chicken and "rujak pengantin" was delicious =).

Day 4 : Saturday, 10th June 2006

I was supposed to join my cousin for pedicure and manicure. However, all the manicurists and pedicurists were engaged. They could not attend to anymore clients. So, I stayed at home to do some studies for my exam on the 14th June.

At night, we were having the bride's farewell dinner before the wedding day. All of my cousin's family members from her mother side turned up. And of course, our family too from Ujung Pandang. There were about 15 of us.

After the dinner, we moved to stay at four star hotel, Millenium Hotel. The Bride, her sister and my aunty were staying at five star hotel, Intercontinental Hotel. My cousin would "guo men" from the hotel on the next day cos the road in front of my uncle's house was dirty. They afraid it would dirty my cousin's wedding dress.

Day 5 : Sunday, 11th June 2006

Alas, the big day. In the morning, the groom met my cousin at the hotel suite, followed by tea ceremony and photo session at the function room. After that, we all went to the Kanisius Chapel for wedding solemnisation.

We had really hectic scheduele. Not long after the church thingie, me and my other cousins went to King Foto to do our make up and hairstyle. I like the way I looked...nice hairstyle and make up done by the beautician =D.

After we were done with the make up, we go back to my uncle's house to get changed into our night gown. Then, we went back to the Intercontinental Hotel again for the wedding ball. Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaa really hectic scheduele!!

I think I looked good with my red dress. And I received quite a number of compliments =D. However, looking good did not mean I was comfortable with my dress. I was constantly worried that my dress would just slipped off from my body and revealing my bust area. LOL.

Yeah, unfortunately, I didn't have ample "asset" to fill up the dress wakaka...Haha anyway, the high heels also hurts. That was because we need to stand up most of the time. It was a buffet ball with very limited chairs around. You just had to stand while you were eating. And it was a longgggg queue to get your food because too many people were being invited for the ball.

The ceremony was wrapped up with the finale when my cousin throw her wedding bouquet. There were altogether 3 bouquets to our surprised!! I never thought of it. Hmm unfortunately, I didn't get to catch the bouquet hikssssss ='(. Hmm perhaps I will get it next time =).

My elder cousin, whom is the bride's big sister, a stranger guy and my other cousin got the bouquets. My elder cousin got the bouquet with a message that she will marry next year. I'm glad for her and hopefully the message do come true for her =). As for me, I don't know....perhaps, long way to go. But, it's okay...I can still wait =D.

All in all, I think it was a successful and joyous occasion. And I wished my cousin and her husband all the best in their marriage =D.
